Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Imagine having lots of coping strategies tailored to you, that help you reach your goals and fit with the work you do. Visualise having the skills to have difficult conversations in a productive and supportive manner.
No more having to explain that usual coping strategies will need adapting to the work you do, your therapist is already skilled in adapting evidence based techniques to those in the creative industries. This is what CBT with Creatives in Mind can offer.
Different terms are used to described the process of using talking therapy to overcome difficulties. These terms can include counselling, psychology and psychotherapy.
I am Kirstie Wright an experienced psychotherapist and founder of Creatives in Mind, and am trained primarily using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This means the sessions are focused on helping you to reach a goal and overcome a particular problem.
The sessions involve developing an understanding of your difficulties and recognising why you are experiencing the difficulty you want to work on. We then develop a plan on how to overcome that difficulty. Click here for more information on what CBT is.
Individual therapy with therapists who understand your industry can help you reach the goals you want to and improve your wellbeing.
